Olive Green Sweater OOTD

I am really trying to make my closet more basic lately. It just makes the pieces in my closet more timeless and it’s easier to style with as well. I decided to syle this olive green oversized turtleneck that is a vintage find ( got to love those). I added my simple and favorite Levis mom jeans to keep the look casual and to stay comfortable. To bring the outfit all together, I added this camel colored suede jacket from H&M. I love how this jacket gives a clean finish to the whole look.

For shoes, I added these black closed-toe shoes that I bought from Call it Spring. Simple yet again clean to bring the casual look together. Then last but not least I added this cute silver detailed black hat from Forever 21.

There you have it chicas. A simple look with a cute oversized olive vintage knit sweater. You can really find some gems if you have the time and go to the right locations for vintage shopping. I hope you all enjoyed this Fridays look and I will see you next week Tuesday for another great post!

Olive Green Chunky Sweater Casual OOTD

It is getting bone-chilling cold in Canada and depending on what area you live, you are probably just as cold or even colder. Being someone who gets so cold easily especially during the winter months, I make it imperative to have a few chunky sweater in my closet that I can layer and throw on to almost every outfit while looking put together.

This olive sweater is vintage. One of my favorite things about knits is if you get an amazing quality knit sweater you can have it in your closet for life and it stays in an amazing condition such as this one. I added my light blue denim cut off jeans from Levis to brighten the look and my light brown suede jacket from Simons to match the warm earthy tones of the sweater.

For accessories, I added this gorgeous fedora with the silver detailing which really makes this hat stand out. I then added my black simple closed toes shoes from Call it Spring. You can also add black boots and if there have silver detailing even better so they can match the detailing on the hat.

There you have it. A casual warm outfit that looks but together.

A Walking Disco Ball- OOTD

With the holiday season just around the corner it makes me so excited for all the family and friend gathering that I will be attending. One thing is for sure, sometimes finding a outfit or three for all your gathers can be stressful and sometimes I will spend hours at the mall going from store to store, struggling to find a look that I like to wear to the next reunion.

This gold sparkly number from Rent Frock and Repeat is perfect to wear for a Christmas party or a fancy wine and cheese event with the girls. Rent Frock and Repeat allows you to borrow the latest designer dresses for a special event that you need to a event for not event a fraction of the cost. It allows you to have a endless closet without taking up all the room in your closet and making a hole in your wallet.

I love how this beautiful dress is figure fitting however not too much so where you can’t have a food baby.. The best part is the back detailing. I love the big scoop at the back it really gives a sexy touch to this classy look.

I then added my simple black shoes from Call it Spring. I wanted all the attention to be on the dress so I kept the shoes as simple as possible.

OOTD- A Match of Chess

Chess is one of my favorite games. It requires such concentration, critical thinking and competitiveness.

While playing chess on a Tuesday afternoon, I decided wouldn’t that be great to make a chess inspired ootd and here it is.

Considering that this pattern is coming back in style at the moment, I wanted to make this chess inspired outfit a garden tea party inspired.

I decided to wear a white layered lace fitted skirt from Dynamite. I love the delicate detailing on this skirt really give a garden feel to the outfit. I then added a white chiffon top from Zara to match the skirt. I wanted to make the whole outfit a canvas and add the plaid scalloped detailed blazer from my mom’s closet ( yes she has style haha) so it was the main focus of the outfit. When you put those three items you can’t go wrong.

This masterpiece is classic and simple yet fashionable. You are now ready to beat your opponent in style.

Metallic Bomber Goes Hippy Chic

With the weather getting warmer, brighter colors start to show up in our wardrobes. With my hippy hairstyle, I only thought it would be appropriate to have a hippy feel to this look.

I decided to wear this flowy pink dress from Marshalls. The detailed cut outs of the shoulders gives the look a trendy edgy feel, while still having a laid back flowy look. I then layered my silver bomber from H&M on top of this look to bring a bright and chic feel to the look. The silver button detailing on the sides of the bomber match perfectly with my sunglasses from Call it Spring. Also, the sunglasses have a rose gold tint that goes seamlessly with my pink dress.

You can then add beige flats or heels or if you really want to continue the metallic feel, like I did, you can add metallic shoes. Then you are ready to walk down the runway. You can never go wrong with a simple dress and metallic shoes.

Spring OOTD- Green Floral Jacket

The best part about spring is being able to layer on jackets and duster coats with the weather being not to warm and not too cold. I have had this vintage jacket in my closet for a couple years now waiting to style it. It is a vintage piece brought to you by my mom. One of the best parts about adding vintage to your wardrobe, it forces you to be more creative and think outside the box of mainstream fashion.

I decided to pair this bold green floral jacket with a textured cream blouse from Aritzia. The color is neutral enough to allow the coat to still be the show of the outfit, however, adds more detail and eye appealing depth to the overall outfit. I then added a white denim skirt that I bought ages ago from dynamite. I am pretty sure I saw the exact on in H &M as well. For shoes, does anyone know what I paired them with? My nude Just Fab heels? Suprised? probably not but this just goes to show that you want to find a piece you can wear with literally everything in your closet. Versatility is key my loves. Lastly, I added my Kate Spade purse that compliments not only the shoes but the shade of this beautiful blouse as well. There you have it a cute outfit that is simple yet chic and creative.

Ottawa Tulip Festival Inspired OOTD

With Tulip Festival starting at the perfect time, Mothers Day weekend, what better way to celebrate than with a floral print to match their floral time of year. I decided to bring that fun crochet white top from Marshalls and pair it with these fun floral pants from River Island that I got a few years ago. Since the pants are the star of the show, you really want to play it down by adding a neutral color top and simple accessories. I added my usual Alex and Anni bracket and my Kate Spade bag that really never goes wrong (like honestly). Now you are ready to look at beautiful flowers, take cute pictures with your friends and find a cute place to eat after a day of flower hunting. Hope you enjoy this Mothers Day Weekend!!!

I decided to pair this crochet plunging floral dress from Forever 21 with this brown suede (how luxury right?) coat. I really like the floral boho theme especially with all the festivals around the corner however for someone who may want to wear this outfit to a girls night out, date or family and friends gathering adding the brown jacket really brings it together while adding the texture of suede as well. Also, the crochet in the front allow you to have the peak a boo effect without being too revealing

Spring 2017 OOTD- Seaside Blue Stripe Romper

I most definitely feel like a sailor with this outfit ( a fashionable one may I add). Stripes are definitely coming back in a sailor inspired feel as well as the office pin strip look. I decided to wear this simple stripe romper. The white tackle on the waist really accentuates my waist and the gold detailing on the end of the tackle is a great finishing touch. I then continued the metallic look by adding these Just Fab silver loafers. Lastly, you can never go wrong with a Kate Spade bag which compliments the silver shoes.

Great way to approach stripes especially during the festival season is by adding a seaside inspired strip in a dress or romper form. Very stylish and it will literally take you two seconds to decide at least half of your outfit.

Spring Trend 2017- Floral and Lace

I LOVE FLORAL! It is one of those patterns that you can wear for 2 our of the 4 seasons, Spring and Summer. There’s also something about wearing floral that just makes you feel like you should be at a garden tea party.

This Friday I decided to pair this simple delicate white lace crochet top from Marshalls with a pink and blue ( complimentary colors) skirt that I found from Simons. With a pattern so bold you want to stay with a neutral or one block color top so the outfit is not overwhelming rather complimentary. I then added this outfit with nude pumps to keep the outfit clean and classy. AND Voilà!!!! You are ready for that tea party, start your week in style at the office or get that cute date.
