Fall OOTD- Pumpkins, Cozy Sweaters and Plaid Scarfs

So I decided to take advantage or the fall weather, beautiful leaves and go to a pumpkin patch. Yes a pumpkin patch. What says fall more then that. I wanted o wear an outfit that was comfy and what says comfy more then this wool sweater I bought ages ago from Zara. Even though I bought it so long ago, it is one of my favorite sweaters in my closet. Year after year I go back to it and year after year it stay trendy and an amazing laying piece as well.

I then added these simple dark wash skinny jeans from Zara. These are another on of my favourite beacuse they are one of the most comfortable jeans I own and they make my but look good if I do not say so myself.

For the shoes, I wanted to complement the oatmeal color sweater, so I added these high knee suede boots from Call if Spring. You all know I love this store. They always have amazing style for boots and you truly can not go wrong.

Now to add some color, I added my Zara orange plaid oversize scarf. I honestly do not like orange 99.99% of the time but for some reason I love this scarf. Since Orange is not usually a popular color when it comes down to plaid over-sized scarf I thought why not. It will be different.

Lastly for the bag , I added a leather vintage bag with a gold detailed buckle on the strap. Kept it simple.

OOTD- Twiks a Little, Dance a Little

With Canada’s 150th around the corner, what better way to celebrate than to style these upcoming couple weeks in Canadian fashion. There are so many talented designers and brands in Canada that do not get as much credit as they should.

This Friday I decided to style this amazing floral peach wrap dress from Simons, a Quebec born and raised retail store that holds a lot of great quality brands (majority of them are from Canada). This wrap dress is designed by one of Simons in-house brands, Twik. Twiks has a lot of casual, fun patterns that are great for summer at the moment. I then added these amazing Ferragamo sunglasses from Point of View Opticians. I then gave this look a nice edgy yet sexy spin adding these strappy black chunky heels from Call it Spring which is currently one of my favorite shoes at the moment. As mentioned before, they are so comfortable and simple. You really can never go wrong with some cute strappy heels in your closet.

Can I just say that this book is for the books? I will be officially be adding a few of these photos to my polaroid collage. This superstar jacket is amazing for the spring and summer season for a great statement piece and layering item.

I got this suede Mink jacket from a vendor at one of my local flea markets, 613 Flea, in Ottawa and I will defiantly say this will not be the last that I go vintage hunting for statement pieces. The suede material makes this jacket to Lux and the color brings such a bright fun addition to any outfit.

I then pulled out my polka dot white and navy blue collared top that I bought from Marshalls a couple months ago. The best trick is to add pattern and color to any outfit when in doubt. In this case, I added the vibrant jacket to compliment this classic polka-dot blouse.

Lastly, I added my white denim cut off mini skirt to match the top and keep this look crisp and clean.

For shoes, I got these amazing kitten heel black suede shoes from Call it Spring. You can never go wrong with a simple classic black shoe. They are a staple that never gets out of style in your closet.

To finish this look, I added these amazing Tom Ford aviator glasses from Point of View Opticians. I love the look of the glasses as they are so clean and crisp though they bring a sense of 70’s to the whole look which I absolutely love.

Baby Blue @mypinkmartini Dress and Tom Ford Aviators

Over the shoulder dresses and tops are everywhere making it a given that I and maybe every chicas will be wearing them all spring and summer long.

I was sent this dress by Pink Martini. Pink Martini is a Canadian clothing brand from Toronto that sells contemporary style clothing. I was told to choose an item from their website to try it out. I decided to choose this amazing waterfall off the shoulder dress. The dress hugs to your body at the bottom and has a flirty flowy feel with the top ruffles and the off the shoulder.

I then decided to pair the dress with these white and gold sandals that I bought from Aldos. I have had these sandals for a year now and they go with everything which I love. For the glasses, I teamed up with a local eyewear company called Point of View Opticians where they had so many great designers such as Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and much more. I choose these classic Tom Ford Ombre effect Aviators. Tom Ford is probably one of my favorite designers for eyewear. He executes the shape of the eyewear so well allowing them to fit all different face types. These glasses literally slid on like a glove.

OOTD- Cut-Out White Floral Dress

Floral is a given when it comes to spring and summer fashion. When in doubt you can honestly just wear a floral dress and you are ready for the catwalk.

This look I decided to choose this white cut out dress from Forever 21. I love the blue and pink flowers. This looks amazing aginst the white canvas. I also like the length as it is not too short and still gives a sexy feel with the backless feature and the cut outs.

I then decided to add my silver loafers from Just Fab. It brought an edgy feel to it ( you know how I like my edgy and girly/chic vibes). An alternative would be to add it with neutral gladiator sandals or Pink fushia heels that will match perfectly with the pink detailing on the dress. Of course with no surprise, I added the Call it Spring rose gold sunglasses.

You can easily wear this look for a picnic or while having a couple drinks on the patio with your friends.

OOTD- Delicate Lace and Peach Pleated “Skirt”

This outfit is all about being fun, flirty and girly. I love lace because it gives a sense of elegance and grace to any outfit while bright vibrant colors give a sense of fun, flirtiness, and joy to the overall outfit.

I decided to start with the famous scallop lace 3/4 top from Marshalls. Can I just say the detailing on this top is phenomenal! It is so intricate and well designed. The top gives a garden tea party vibe to it which is perfect for day to day errands to a gathering with the girls on a Saturday morning over brunch a mimosas. I then brought this fun BCBG peach chiffon skirt that I bought a couple years ago. The pleating is definitely a style this spring and going into the summer. This is one of those it looks like a skirt but theiy are shorts type of shorts.  Lastly, I added my Call it Spring Sunglasses (surprise?) and my gold and white sandals from Aldos that I bought a million years ago.

There you have it! You are ready to go to a garden party with the queen, really. What would you guys wear to a garden party?

Sunflower Child

Every woman/girl has a mellow sunflower spirit in them. I decided to show mine in the art of fashion. This sunflower outfit shows a fun care free woman finding herself in the flowers that surrounds her.

She wears an off the shoulder blue pinstripe top with puffy sleeves from Marshalls. She then wears a white denim skirt that is both fashionably chic and carefree with the ridged cut off denim detailing at the bottom of the skirt still giving that ‘carefree’ vibe. Shoes? This outfit has none, just the shoes you are born with. What better way to complete this hippy outfit with the natural touch of bare feet. However, a great alternative would be white gladiator sandals ( there are a few at Just Fab, Aldo and  Call it Spring). I then added my staple rose gold sunglasses from Spring

There you have it! You have completed your flower child outfit. I really enjoy creating a story behind some of my looks. It just makes it that much more exciting when you wear an outfit. Remember to keep you sunflower child spirit burning.

Spring OOTD- Sunday Best

Sometimes I will say a Sunday best outfit does make me feel like I am Audrey Hepburn. All I am missing is some tea, scones and some girlfriends to chat with on a lovely Sunday spring morning.

I decided that for this fun look I had to add this tulle skirt from Simons. The gliter skirt screams Spring. I then added this high neck black body suit from Zara along with another vintage piece from my mom’s closet, beige blazer. With the different textures, the chiffon sleeves and the soft silk like cotton for the rest of the bodysuit gives the outfit more dimension while complimenting the girly fun tulle skirt. I then added the cute clutch from Forever 21 to give this outfit a bit of spice. What better way to add spice to an outfit than with the color red.

For the shoes, I kept my staple Just Fab nude heels and added the Call it Spring rose gold sunglasses that plays as a nude in this outfit as the colors are either dark or bright and bold like the red satchel bag.

There you have it! Another great outfit brought to you by this chicas. You can wear this for tea with the girls, night out at a nice Parisian restaurant or to a theater show ( why not be the show as well 😉 ).

Spring OOTD- Green Floral Jacket

The best part about spring is being able to layer on jackets and duster coats with the weather being not to warm and not too cold. I have had this vintage jacket in my closet for a couple years now waiting to style it. It is a vintage piece brought to you by my mom. One of the best parts about adding vintage to your wardrobe, it forces you to be more creative and think outside the box of mainstream fashion.

I decided to pair this bold green floral jacket with a textured cream blouse from Aritzia. The color is neutral enough to allow the coat to still be the show of the outfit, however, adds more detail and eye appealing depth to the overall outfit. I then added a white denim skirt that I bought ages ago from dynamite. I am pretty sure I saw the exact on in H &M as well. For shoes, does anyone know what I paired them with? My nude Just Fab heels? Suprised? probably not but this just goes to show that you want to find a piece you can wear with literally everything in your closet. Versatility is key my loves. Lastly, I added my Kate Spade purse that compliments not only the shoes but the shade of this beautiful blouse as well. There you have it a cute outfit that is simple yet chic and creative.

Ottawa Tulip Festival Inspired OOTD

With Tulip Festival starting at the perfect time, Mothers Day weekend, what better way to celebrate than with a floral print to match their floral time of year. I decided to bring that fun crochet white top from Marshalls and pair it with these fun floral pants from River Island that I got a few years ago. Since the pants are the star of the show, you really want to play it down by adding a neutral color top and simple accessories. I added my usual Alex and Anni bracket and my Kate Spade bag that really never goes wrong (like honestly). Now you are ready to look at beautiful flowers, take cute pictures with your friends and find a cute place to eat after a day of flower hunting. Hope you enjoy this Mothers Day Weekend!!!
