So I have been traveling so much that I honestly didn’t really get to 100 nights until 2020. Honestly. So I obviously wanted to wait until I did the 100 night to show you guys an honest real review.

Endy is a Canadian foam mattress that allows you to get the firmness you need to support your back throughout the night, however, the comfort and softness you need that says “I have a hotel mattress at home”.

After traveling 2 times a month and traveling for BlogIt for 8 weeks I wanted to stay home and get the rest I needed. The holiday season was approaching I was ready to get as much sleep as I needed. The first thing I noticed is how firm their pillows are. It really allows you to give your head some leverage which I prefer especially when you are feeling sick. I also suffer from back pain and noticed after three weeks that my back pain reduced tremendously. Lastly, I have been suffering from insomnia. Since I travel so much from one part of the world to the next, the jetlag and the time changes were really getting to me and it was impossible to get my self to sleep.

For instance, when I got back from Bali in the spring, the night I arrived, I have never been so happy and excited to see my Endy bed. I ended up getting a full night of sleep not waking up once. I woke up well rested and ready for my day. Also, during my self retreat and getting my certifications in Reiki as well as other self-healing training in November to January ( not traveling anywhere) it was crucial for me to allow my self to rest as I have been changing my lifestyle. I noticed the length of my slumbers extending day by day and I was able to get a full 7-8 hours of sleep. Now, I wonder if I will be able to sleep just as well when I travel now.

It’s now February almost a year later and I can definitely say I would recommend the Endy bed if you:

  • Have back problems
  • Prefer a firm bed
  • Want a good quality bed

Head to Toe Stutting In Stussy

IMG_0954

I’m back! I had to take a little bit of a break as I am working on some excited things for you guys as well as making sure my blogging stays true to what represents me.

I am excited to announce that I will be a brand ambassador for NRML Femme. I will be working with various brands such as Mink Pink, Love and Lemons, Stussy and more. I will be doing another blog post about my experience working with NRML which is an Ottawa born brand and what it means to me to be working with such an amazing clothing store.

This beautiful outfit is one of the many outfits from their Fall season. Let us start with the top. This basic ribbed top fits me as a glove. As a bigger chested girl, I find it hard to find tops that flatter my top without showing too much. This is great because it shows my tiny waist and my figure tastefully while keeping it chic and slightly sexy.

I then added these amazing super comfortable lime green silk pants from Stussy. I love the lime green! At first, I was not sure if I could pull it off but as soon as I saw these bad boys, I knew I wanted to wear them. They are super comfortable, versatile and the colour alone is enough to make a fashion statement.

I then layered this outfit with this cute yellow transparent raincoat which really ties this outfit together. The raincoat puts everything together, especially with the lime silk pants. I can see my self-rocking this raincoat with an all-white outfit or some jeans and a simple t-shirt.

For shoes I kept it simple. Sine my life is getting busier, I have been changing my look a little and making my shoes as comfortable and fashionable as possible. Since styling with NRML I have learned about my love for sneakers and how you can really change a look to your personal taste with them. I added these simple assatric white nike sneakers. I love how simple and clean they look and with all the light colours it really brings the whole look together.

NRML Femme has an online store and it can be found both in Ottawa at Rideau Street and Bayshore as well. I would suggest going in as they have a look for everyone #urNRMLFemme .

Caramel Brown Vest Coat and a Touch of Lepard

I love wool staple pieces. Especially in this crazy weather. Sometimes I can just wear a wool sweater and a light jacket on some winter afternoon s and I feel just right. I decided to take a formal item out of the Shika Chica’s closet today and give it a casual day look feel.

I started off layering with this beautiful camel colored long wool vest from Melanie Lyn. I love the color! Like I mentioned before, I am really trying to redo my wardrobe first starting with the basic staples. I then added my classic Brand Melville cropped ribbed sweater. I wear this top all the time as you can dress it up and down easily.,

For the bottoms, I decided to wear my classic cut off Levis jeans that I adore. I love the snug fit at the waist and the slightly flared bottoms. It helps play down the caramel vest. Now for the shoes, I really wanted something simple, classic and ‘warm’, so I decided to add these Zara leather ankle booties. My motto is wear a heel with an outfit, and it can really give the final touch of classiness that you need to bring the outfit together.

Now we have texture, colour and a sheen we are miss a pattern. What better way to add a pattern then this lepard faux fur hat from my mom’s closet. I love how fun and warm it is. Without the hat, the look would not be completed.

Olive Green Chunky Sweater Casual OOTD

It is getting bone-chilling cold in Canada and depending on what area you live, you are probably just as cold or even colder. Being someone who gets so cold easily especially during the winter months, I make it imperative to have a few chunky sweater in my closet that I can layer and throw on to almost every outfit while looking put together.

This olive sweater is vintage. One of my favorite things about knits is if you get an amazing quality knit sweater you can have it in your closet for life and it stays in an amazing condition such as this one. I added my light blue denim cut off jeans from Levis to brighten the look and my light brown suede jacket from Simons to match the warm earthy tones of the sweater.

For accessories, I added this gorgeous fedora with the silver detailing which really makes this hat stand out. I then added my black simple closed toes shoes from Call it Spring. You can also add black boots and if there have silver detailing even better so they can match the detailing on the hat.

There you have it. A casual warm outfit that looks but together.

Orange Patterned Cardigan- OOTD

I have had this cardigan for quite some time now though I always seem to come back to this number once the fall comes back around. I bought this cardigan from Forever 21. I love the geometric patterns and the pop of orange that really stands out against the grey.

With such a crazy pattern you want to make the rest of the outfit simple. I added my fur vest to add texture to the outfit. Not only is it fashionable but really warm as well. I then added these mom jeans that I thrift way back as Vien Avec Moi made by Levis. They are so comfortable the cut hem gives it an edgy trendy twist to simple light wash jeans.

For shoes, I played it safe and added my closed toe Call it Spring shoes. I use these pairs of shoes for everything! Work, a special event or a girls night. It really gives enough height to be used for special occasions yet casual enough to wear during the day.
